Child Development Centre in Bangalore

Since 2001, Dimensions Centre for Child Development (DCCD) has helped Bangalore families with speech delay, autism, feeding difficulties, sensory needs and developmental delay. Speech therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, behaviour therapy and special education work together under one roof, at two centres in North Bangalore.

Our two Bangalore centres

Both centres offer the full range of therapies, so you can choose whichever is closer to home or school.

Therapies for children, under one roof

Most children need more than one kind of support. At DCCD, therapists from each discipline share one plan for your child, so speech, motor, feeding and behaviour goals move forward together.

Speech & Language Therapy

Personalised, one-on-one sessions tailored to the unique communication needs of each child. We use engaging tools, visual aids, and tactile feedback methods to help children develop articulation, vocabulary, and confident self-expression.

Pediatric Feeding Therapy

Using evidence-based approaches like the SOS Approach and COSMI, we address the sensory, oral motor, behavioural, and physiological factors behind feeding difficulties.

Occupational Therapy

Helps children develop the sensory, motor, and cognitive skills needed to participate meaningfully in daily activities—from managing sensory overload to fine motor writing skills.

Early Intervention (0–3 Years)

The first three years are the most critical window for brain development. Our programs identify and address developmental concerns early, maximizing neuroplasticity.

Oral Sensory-Motor Therapy

Specialized exercises and sensory inputs to improve awareness, coordination, and strength of the muscles involved in feeding and speech.

Parent Training & Coaching

Therapy shouldn't end when the session does. We teach parents the strategies used by therapists so you can support your child's growth every single day.

Group Therapy Sessions

Structured, therapist-led settings where children work on social communication, peer interaction, turn-taking, and emotional regulation.

Special Education

Individualised academic, cognitive, and life-skills programmes for children with learning differences, intellectual disabilities, autism, and developmental delays — built around each child's unique learning profile.

Behaviour Therapy

Evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support that identifies the root function of challenging behaviours and builds positive alternatives — compassionate, trauma-informed, and always whole-family.

Play Therapy

Using play — the natural language of childhood — to help children process emotions, build resilience, navigate relationships, and work through anxiety, trauma, and life transitions in a safe therapeutic space.

School Readiness Program

A structured 12–16 week multidisciplinary programme that addresses attention, language, motor skills, pre-literacy, and social readiness — giving children with developmental differences a confident, prepared start to school.

We support children with autism, speech delay, late talking, feeding disorders, sensory processing differences, stuttering, cerebral palsy and developmental delay.

What makes DCCD different

Evidence-based

Therapy protocols grounded in peer-reviewed clinical research, never guesswork or one-size-fits-all programmes.

Truly multidisciplinary

Speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and feeding specialists plan together, so your child has one joined-up programme rather than separate therapies that never talk to each other.

Parents at the centre

Sessions include parent coaching, so the strategies continue at home every day. We train you to be your child's greatest therapist.

Questions parents ask us

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

Look out for missed developmental milestones — not babbling by 9 months, not using single words by 16 months, or struggling to be understood by strangers at age 3. If you're concerned, trust your instincts. An early assessment is always the safest approach.

What is the right age to start therapy?

There is no 'too early' when development is a concern. We work with infants as young as a few months old for feeding challenges, and toddlers under 2 for early communication support. The earlier intervention begins, the more we can use the brain's natural plasticity.

Do I need a paediatrician's referral to visit DCCD in Bangalore?

No. You are welcome to self-refer. Our intake process begins with a thorough assessment of your child's needs. We always recommend consulting your paediatrician in parallel, and we are happy to liaise with their team.

What happens at the first appointment?

The first session is an intake assessment. Our clinical team observes your child, reviews their history with you, and identifies areas of need. From this, we design a tailored, multidisciplinary intervention plan and discuss it with you in full.

Can parents attend therapy sessions?

Not only can you attend — we encourage it. Parents are the most vital part of the therapy team. Our sessions coach you so you can carry strategies into daily life between appointments.

How long does therapy take before we see results?

Every child is unique. When parents are actively involved, many families notice positive changes within the first few weeks to months. Our team sets clear, measurable goals and reviews them with you regularly.

Does DCCD work with schools or teachers?

Yes. We collaborate with schools, provide teacher briefings and develop classroom strategies — always with the parent's consent.

How are fees structured?

We do not offer fixed promotional packages. Fees are structured per session or as a monthly module, based on your child's individual, multidisciplinary plan. Please contact our front desk for the current fees.
